Get the WMB app
WhereIsMyBuddy installs straight from your browser, on iPhone, Android and computers. It is the same activity tracker, with its own icon and its own window, and your reminders and notes arrive as notifications. Nothing to download from a store.
iPhone and iPad
In Safari:
- Open whereismybuddy.app in Safari and tap the Share button, at the bottom of the screen (at the top on iPad).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open WMB from your Home Screen and sign in.
- In Profile, then Notifications, turn on Send notifications to this device.
- Chrome, Edge or Firefox: Tap the Share button in the address bar, then Add to Home Screen.
On iPhone, notifications only work from the Home Screen app, and need iOS 16.4 or later.
Android

- Samsung Internet: Tap the menu at the bottom, then Add page to, then Home screen.
Computer
In Chrome or Edge:

- Click Install. WMB opens in its own window and goes in your dock or taskbar.
- Safari on a Mac: Choose File, then Add to Dock.
- Firefox: Firefox does not install web apps. WMB works the same in a tab, notifications included.
Questions
- Is this an App Store app?
- No. It is the same WhereIsMyBuddy you use in the browser, added to your home screen. There is nothing to download from a store, and it keeps itself up to date.
- Why does iPhone need this for notifications?
- Apple only lets web apps send notifications once they are on the Home Screen. Add WMB there, open it from its icon, then turn on notifications in Profile. It needs iOS 16.4 or later.
- Will I need to sign in again?
- Possibly once, inside the app. After that it stays signed in, the way your browser does.
- Can I keep using it in the browser?
- Yes. Everything works in a browser tab too. The app is quicker to reach, and on iPhone it is how notifications arrive.
- How do I remove it?
- Like any other app: press and hold the icon, then Remove App on iPhone or Uninstall on Android. On a computer, open it and choose Uninstall from its menu. Your account and your groups stay as they are.
